Fresh from its grand opening in August last year, Capella Bangkok has welcomed the hospitality brand’s signature spa Auriga Wellness on its property. The brainchild of wellness experts GOCO Hospitality, who also helmed the luxurious spas at Capella’s Bali and Sanya resorts, the sprawling 1,074 square meter facility is nestled in the riverside hotel’s lush gardens. Spa-goers can expect to immerse themselves in the nature surroundings as they enjoy tailored wellness experiences.

The space is home to seven treatment rooms, including two spa suites, a vitality thermal bathing area, a tea lounge with an outdoor spa garden, as well as a well-equipped gym. Designed for rebalancing and rejuvenation, the spa program pays homage to the diverse communities that have lived along Charoenkrung Road over the decades, through the use of Thai ingredients such as mung bean, black sesame, and riceberry in its body, face, and massage rituals. Meanwhile, organic medicinal herbs and spices help boost the efficacy of the treatments.

Travellers and local staycationers alike can ease their weariness with the wide array of spa treatments, which incorporate Indian healing traditions, traditional Chinese medicine, and Thai techniques such as tok sen—a hammer massage that originated from Chiang Mai settlers in the Thai capital city. Those seeking aesthetic revival can book the signature facials and body therapies by London-based luxury skincare brand 111SKIN. One of the key treatments is a non-surgical lift facial that uses diamond powder to eradicate the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Other popular treatments include body scrubs, wraps, and cleaning rituals to soothe tired bodies.
Spa treatments aside, Auriga Wellness also offers daily yoga, tai chi, and Muay Thai classes, alongside guided TRX workouts and personal fitness training sessions for those who’d like to stay in shape while on holiday.
