When international travel becomes possible again, you might find yourself yearning for an abundance of nature and fresh air. Consider booking a stay at Lux Chongzuo, Guangxi, a new resort and brainchild of Singapore luxury hotel group Lux Collective in partnership with Mingshi Yijing Tourism. Situated in one of China’s most scenic regions, the resort will be surrounded by mountainous rivers and karst formations.
Slated to open in January 2021, the hotel will feature 56 suites and villas. Other creature comforts include an outdoor infinity pool, a gym, a spa, a kids’ club, as well as specialty restaurants and bars. Guests can also expect to see LUX* Reasons to Go signatures such as Cinema Paradiso (film screenings under the stars) and Tree of Wishes (dramatically-illuminated trees crafted by local artisans, meant for one to hang their wishes on).
The biggest draw will be the five-star resort’s natural surrounds, which include the Detian Waterfall—Asia’s largest transnational waterfall as it straddles the international borders between China and Vietnam, the Nongguan Nature Reserve—home to endangered white-headed langurs, as well as the rock painting-filled Zuojiang River.
