UNIQLO AND JIL SANDER TO LAUNCH +J COLLECTION THIS FALL

These unusual times call for comfortable dressing that’s in no way sloppy and chic wardrobe staples that will remain stylish beyond the season. To the delight of minimalist fans everywhere, German designer Jil Sander has announced a brand new collection with Japanese casual wear brand Uniqlo.

Nine years after their last collaboration in 2011, the duo will be bringing back the well sought-after J+ collection in time for fall. The previous tie-up, which lasted for three years, featured a classic ensemble of blazers, black pants, and crisp white shirts, alongside elegant pieces like boxy peacoats, belted trenches, and knits.

This new collection looks set to raise the bar with the designer’s signature modernist style. Expect versatile pieces for both men and women, tailored from a diverse line-up of premium materials for a touch of a luxury.

On her favourite clothing item, Jil had this to say: “That would be a white T-shirt with a perfect fit. I wear them under everything and stuff my wardrobe with a large selection. It has to be made from thin Egyptian cotton. Since the beginning of my career, I have designed this kind of T-shirt and can’t live without it.”
