Hotels in Asia and beyond have turned to innovative means in order to stay afloat in these tumultuous times. In Indonesia’s Land of the Gods, the five-star Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach has transformed both its beachfront venue and resort lounge area into co-working spaces that will open from September 1 onward.

Combining both Balinese hospitality and Japanese aesthetics, the 188-key hotel features rooms and suites across nine categories. The highlight is a rooftop suite with scenic views of the Indian Ocean.

Guests can purchase either daily, weekly, or monthly passes to work at its beachfront Bali Luna venue or its Samudera Lounge—the latter is said to offer a picturesque view of the surrounding Indian Ocean.

Masaya Hasebe, the hotel’s general manager, said: “Bali sees a lot of digital nomads who long for a relaxing place to help them stay inspired and relaxed while doing all the online works, and we have exactly what they need at our 5-star property,”

He adds: “We are strategically situated at the calm neighborhood in Nusa Dua with a literal one-minute walk from the beach, and our team is ready to show you the true bliss of working in a tropical paradise”, he added.

Open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily, the co-working spaces come with essentials like Internet access, complimentary mineral water, as well as perks like an hour of free access to the conference room, as well as a 25 percent discount on spa and wellness treatments.

Guests hoping to unwind can also enjoy access to the pool and the beach.
