Back for its ninth consecutive year, Singapore Cocktail Festival will return from May 5 to 21 with an even bigger line-up of drink experiences under the theme of “Shaking Up New Possibilities”. Gather your drinking buddies and raise a toast to brand pop-ups, headliner bars, a gourmet food street, and a sprawling 7400sqm Festival Village at the Bayfront Event Space.
Mark your calendar for the opening weekend (May 5-7) at the Festival Village, which will offer over 100 cocktails priced at $15 each. For the first time in the same space, the Village will host Headliner Bars including Indulge Experimental Bistro (Taipei, No. 6 at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022), Maybe Sammy (Sydney, No. 29 at The World’s 50 Best Bars 2022), and Penicillin (Hong Kong, No. 22 at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022).
Visitors can also look forward to immersive Brand Pop-ups from the likes of Hendrick’s Gin and Monkey Shoulder. Wander into Hendrick’s Gin’s enchanting garden—a collaboration with homegrown cocktail bar Night Hawk, which will serve Hendrick’s-based concoctions and limited-release gin expressions. Meanwhile, Monkey Shoulder’s booth will be spearheaded by The Feather Blade and includes a cocktail truck peddling curated tipples. There’s also an Instagram-worthy “poolside party” by Malfy Gin from Italy, featuring drinks and slushies.
While enjoying your tipple, be entertained by live performances by leading local DJ acts Phat Cat Collective and live bands, the Jukuleles and Havana Social Club. Satiate your appetites at the Gourmet Food Street, which will serve Mexican, Indian, Asian food, and more.
From May 8 to 13, headliner bartenders will participate in the City Takeover, where they’ll be hosted by home-based bars to present a variety of inspired drinks. Analogue (No. 37 at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022) welcomes Maybe Sammy (Sydney), Manhattan (No. 9 at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022) is paired with Indulge Experimental Bistro (Taipei), Origin Bar (No. 66 at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022) shakes things up with New Delhi’s Sidecar, Republic (No. 12 at Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022) pairs with Penicillin (Hong Kong), Stay Gold Flamingo and The Elephant Room, both of which are on Asia’s 50 Best Bars Singapore Discovery list, will welcome ReCraft (Manila) and The Bar at The House on Sathorn (Bangkok), respectively.
Over four weekends until May 21, cocktail lovers will be able to enjoy limited edition Signature Cocktails priced at $18++ across 47 participating bars as long as they purchase a City Takeover wristband for $10 nett. Don’t miss out on the Weekend Cocktail Brunches, which sees signature drinks paired with curated themed menus, such as Indian-South American fusion fare at Barood to bottomless brunches at The Bar at 15 Stamford.
